International Double Reed Society Conference - Lecture
I will be giving a lecture titled, “Mapping the Double-Tongue: Incorporating Body Mapping into the Double-Tonguing Learning Process”, which will feature data from my dissertation research study on the topic. Stay tuned for the exact date and time!
Martinu Oboe Concerto Performance
I will be performing the Martinu Oboe Concerto with the University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra at the Singletary Center Concert Hall. Sibelius Symphony No. 5 and Mozart’s Requiem are also featured on the program.
Lecture Recital - Mapping the Double Tongue
Join me in Niles Gallery at the University of Kentucky to learn about how Body Mapping can be incorporated into learning the technique of double-tonguing! Aspects of a research study conducted on eight oboe students who learned double-tonguing with this technique will be shared and I will perform varying orchestral and solo excerpts that feature my highly cultivated double-tongue. Further, the lecture will be interactive as I help the audience kinesthetically explore their oral cavity.
