Philosophy
I am passionate about teaching oboe students of all levels, skillsets, and goals! It is important to me to cater to the needs and wants of each individual student as they progress on their journey. Further, I want students to feel confident, passionate, and in-control of their unique music-making. I am qualified to help students develop their fundamentals, learn a wide variety of musical styles, and cultivate their own musical voice. Download my comprehensive teaching philosophy below.
Reed-making is also an area of expertise within which I am able to offer lessons. It is exciting to be able to so intimately craft our sound with our reeds and I take pride in helping students feel comfortable and competent with this extremely important aspect of being an oboist.
Book A Trial Lesson
Fill out the form to book a trial oboe or reed-making! This lesson will be thirty minutes in length and at no charge.
If you would like to continue with lessons, the fees are listed below. I am always willing to negotiate payments ahead of time depending on your financial situation. I prefer cash, check, or Venmo (@camilla-yoder) given at the end of each lesson. Lessons longer than an hour are an option, if interested.
